Google Glass continues its invasion of the PGA Tour

February 12, 2014

It's no secret: Wearable technology is a growing trend. And slowly, it's leaking into golf.

I've gone on record saying that Google Glass -- or something similar to it -- will one day play a prominent role in golf, so I get especially excited when I see PGA Tour pros testing it out.

Billy Horschel became the first to try Google Glass on the range of a PGA Tour event when he did so at the Barclays last August. This week at the Northern Trust Open, two more players, Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano and Harold Varner III, gave it a whirl. We'll keep an eye out for any others who venture bravely forward into the future.
