The Winner's Bag

February 07, 2010

Steve Stricker used an Odyssey White Hot #2 Putter to win the Northern Trust Open, and it was the putter that made the difference. Stricker ranked first in putts per round and was No. 3 in putts per GIR. Perhaps more notable, however, was that Stricker became the fifth-consecutive player on the Pga Tour to win this year with Titleist irons that did not have to have the grooves changed. Stricker's Titleist 755 irons (a club he has used for four years) already conformed to the new groove rule.
