Golf responds to Watson's loss via Twitter

Bubba Watson broke the news of his father's passing via Twitter, prompting a series of condolences from around the golf world, including a couple of Ryder Cup opponents.

From Rory McIlroy: "So sorry to hear that. The McIlroy's thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time."

From Ian Poulter: "Best wishes Bubba Poults"

From Oliver Wilson: "I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you & your family. Oli"

From Suzann Pettersen: "So sorry to hear that!!! keep you head up high , lots of love from pettersen"

From PingTour: "Bubba everyone at PING is sorry for the loss of your father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you & your family during this difficult time."

From Titleist: "From all of us @Titleist, our deepest sympathies for you and your family during this most difficult time."

A few hours after his initial announcement, Watson, a devout Christian, posted this: "My dad got to see me win & play for USA in the Ryder Cup!!!!! Gods plan is always is right! God gave my family my best year & worst year!!"
