It’s a little annoying when an athlete can seamlessly shift to another sport at the drop of a hat. Like, come on. The rest of us are struggling to do one thing and you’re out here playing tennis better than basically everyone else in the world AND you also have a silky-smooth golf swing to boot? It’s Roger Federer though, so we’ll give him a pass.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner decided to show us all what his golf game’s like, and honestly, it’s pretty damn beautiful. It immediately went viral, because, of course, it did.

“Trying to pick up a new hobby 🥴🏌🏻‍♂️,” Rog posted on his Instagram. “Wish me luck… 🤞🏼🤌🏼 Any pointers?”

To be fair, it’s a pretty gorgeous swing, bolstered by Federer’s vintage Uniqlo look and RF cap.

A who’s who of athletes chimed in, perhaps most notably Nelly Korda, who’s on a bit of a hot streak herself. It seems like she’s looking to extend her golf prowess, this time to teaching.

“Do you need a coach? 💁‍♀️🙋‍♀️” Korda inquires. Man, what a combination that would be.

Golf great Adam Scott threw in a bunch of fire emojis and tour pro Min Woo Lee said, “Yeah mate, just give me a call. will sort you out 👍” Even the PGA Tour wants to assist: “We might be able to help with that 😏”

Fed may even get a call up to the European Ryder Cup squad with captain Luke Donald stating that this swing is as “smooth as your backhand Rog 🙌🏼” LIV Golf added “That’s a solid move 🔥” and has probably already offered Federer $1 billion.

The thing about Federer is that everyone loves him so damn much, as evidenced by his comments being full of basically every type of athlete, even outside of golf.

Fellow tennis stars Carlos Alcaraz and Andy Murray seemed impressed, World Cup winner Thomas Müller said “Nice swing 👏” and Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn doesn’t think Fed needs any assistance.

You could build a full international Olympics squad out of Fed’s replies, as we haven’t even mentioned Justin Rose, Jessica Korda, Genie Bouchard, Caroline Wozniacki, John Isner and Marcelo Díaz, who all chimed in.

There are two things to learn from this entire FedFest. 1. Rog has a hell of a swing and should be teeing off at the American Century Championship sooner rather than later, and 2. If you’re looking for an athlete, they’re probably in Roger Federer’s comments.
