Normally, any time a player's odds to win end in the "teens," there's not much value in betting them. However, when that player is Dustin Johnson, and the course is Riviera, there's a case to be made.

It helps, too, that Johnson is coming off a strong finish in Saudi Arabia, where he tied for eighth at the Saudi International. Taking all that into account, Johnson's 18-1 number to win the Genesis Invitational is a bit more enticing than it appears. In addition to his 2017 victory at Riviera, Johnson has also has a pair of runner-ups and seven other finishes of 16th or better in the event.

At the top, once again, is World No. 1 Jon Rahm, who is as low as 8-1 coming off his T-10 finish at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. That marked his eighth top-10 finish in his last 10 starts, as he continues his scorching-hot tear. By the way, that stretch obviously does not include the Memorial at Muirfield Village, which he likely would have won had he not tested positive for COVID-19 and been forced to withdraw on Saturday evening.

Patrick Cantlay and Justin Thomas, who finished solo second and T-8 at TPC Scottsdale, respectively, check in next on the odds board. After that it's Johnson, and then Collin Morikawa, who we've not seen since the DP World Tour's Dubai Desert Classic in late January. Scottie Scheffler, the WMPO winner, is a bit further down the odds board at 28-1.

Here are the consensus odds for each player in the 2022 Genesis Invitational field:
