Friday predictions

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF.-  The first round of the 2010 Kraft Nabisco Championship is in the books, and we're left with an interesting leader board going into Friday. Suzann Pettersen leads Lorena Ochoa by one at five and four under par respectively, followed by a diverse group of seven others at three under. Who might stand out tomorrow? Aside from the leaders, there are several intriguing possibilities. In the tie for third you'll find South Korean Song-Hee Kim, who has started the year with three top-10s and looks poised to break through and get her first win this season. Karrie Webb is also at three under, and we all know what she can do at this event.

*Another player to keep an eye on in round two is Cristie Kerr, who's won here in the past and whose opening-round 71 sounds worse than it was; save for an unfortunate double-bogey on the par-3 17th, she played flawless golf. She's proven to be in great form so far this season, with a T-4 finish at the Honda PTT LPGA Thailand and the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore. Michelle Wie, Brittany Lincicome, Sophie Gustafson and Yani Tseng are also in the mix, as are promising young Americans Stacey Lewis and Vicky Hurst.
