A slice fixer you never leave home without

March 01, 2021

For you slicers, here’s a video tip you’re sure to have never seen before from Golf Digest Best Young Teacher Kyle Morris. All you need is that PPE mask you’ve been wearing over your nose and mouth the past 12 months.

Take your mask off and stretch each end of the elastic band around your elbows. Next, make a few practice swings keeping your elbows together and tight to your body. Then hit some balls, half-swings at first, maintaining the same “together” feeling. This will prevent your lead elbow from separating from your body as you swing through, putting an end to that dreaded “chicken wing” and the weak slice that results. If your lead elbow does jut out, the elastic will snap.
