The repetitive, unilateral nature of golf places tremendous stress on the body's soft tissue as the club is continuously accelerated and decelerated. Because the force is unidirectional, it also requires the left and right side of the body to work in unison, but not in symmetry. This asymmetrical, repetitive stress is why many golfers get hurt. To prevent this, do these exercises that focus on each side of the body's ability to produce acceleration and deceleration independent of the other.
Do an equal number of reps with your left side and your right. This will improve body balance and the efficiency and power of your swing.
