FedEx St. Jude Championship odds 2022: A stunning Jon Rahm number
PAUL ELLIS
For a number of months this PGA Tour season, Jon Rahm was consistently a single-digit, solo favorite every time he teed it up. Circumstances have clearly changed, at least judging by the odds board for the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Invitational.
To win the opening event of this year's FedEx Cup Playoffs, Rahm is at 20-1, a stunningly low number to see next to the former World No. 1's name. It wasn't that long ago that the Spaniard picked up the seventh win of his PGA Tour career at the Mexico Open, but he's managed just one top 10 in five starts since. An uninspiring showing at the 150th Open at St. Andrews is likely playing a factor here, too.
While the odds could certainly shift by Thursday, as of now there are six names ahead of Rahm's on the odds board, starting with solo favorite Rory McIlroy (11-1). From there it goes Cameron Smith, Patrick Cantlay and Scottie Scheffler, who are all 16-1, followed by Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele, who are both 18-1. After Rahm, Matthew Fitzpatrick and Tony Finau check in next at 22-1.
