Europeans begin mind games, misspell Jimmy Walker and Jordan Spieth's names

It begins.

Two of the three U.S. Ryder Cup rookies fell to some egregious spelling errors on Tuesday at Gleneagles, which is actually fairly impressive considering how straightforward the names actually are. The third rookie -- Patrick Reed -- was spared, presumably because misspelling "Reed" proved a little too difficult.

The sign-makers ignored the "i" before "e" rule to misspell Jordan Spieth's name "Speith," and to make matters worse, followed it by misspelling the easiest name in the world -- Jimmy -- by adding an extra "i": "Jiimmy." Apparently they weren't watching the Masters or the FedEx Cup this year. Game on.
