European Tour player suffers the worst lip-out, gives the best reaction
The cruelness of golf knows no bounds. Mikael Lundberg was the latest to find that out in Thursday's opening round of the European Tour's British Masters.
After striking two perfect shots on the par-5 seventh hole at Woburn Golf Club, Lundberg thought he had struck a perfect eagle putt from five feet. Then this happened:
No, we can't believe that didn't drop, either, Mikael.
After his incredulous reaction to the particularly brutal lip-out, Lundberg tapped in for birdie and managed to go par-birdie over the next two holes to finish off a 66 and grab a share of third place at the time of this post. Hang in there, Mikael, you're due to skip a ball out of the water to gimme range at some point after that bad break.
