Day 23: How To Warm Up Like The Pros

What's the difference between practicing and getting ready for a round? When you're warming up, you shouldn't be thinking about mechanics. Use four clubs, and hit four to six shots with each ball. For each shot, you should go through your full routine. Pick a precise target, visualize the shot you want to hit and execute, making use of your positive memories of shots you hit with that club. Make it authentic right down to the waggle and trigger you normally use. Preparing to play is just as much about gearing up your mind as it is your body.
