Save for later

Naturally, you've already heard about some of the bigger names who earned spots at Royal Portrush fia Final Qualifying for the Open Championship on Tuesday. Lee Westwood, the former World No. 1, garnered much of the attention, as did PGA Tour winner Harry Hall and LIV golfers Lucas Herbert and Dean Burmester.

Even more fascinating, though, are the lesser-known stories, like the one of the amateur golfer from Estonia, Richard Teder, who holed out for eagle in a playoff at West Lancashire to earn his Open spot. Teder, 20, will be the first player from Estonia to compete in the Open.

Over at Dundonald Links, where Westwood was the medalist, two Scottish players qualified in their home country, including amateur Connor Graham, who just completed his freshman season at Texas Tech. The other Scotsmen, Daniel Young, has been around the block a bit longer. The 33-year-old finished just one stroke back of Westwood to secure his place at Portrush.

Young was congratulated on social media by an account called Scotland Golf Watch, and when he came across it he couldn't help but notice his own hairstyle in the crystal clear Getty image:

Who gives a f--- is right, Daniel. Plus, the guy has finished third and T-2 in his last two starts on the HotelPlanner Tour, and then he went and qualified for the Open. Now would be a bad time to change up the vibes.
