Daly ties for 31st

John Daly's return to competitive golf was not triumphant, but it was a start; he closed with a three-under par 69, his best round of the tournament, and tied for 31st in the Spanish Open.

It was Daly's first start since the Australian Masters in November, and the first tournament he finished in the money since the Hong Kong Open, also in November.

Now it's on the BMW Italian Open, the European PGA Tour's next event.
