Golf invitational on infamous Jackson Hole ski trail might be the most extreme golf tournament on earth
Every year, Golf Digest has a company-wide outing called the Seitz Cup. It’s usually held at the end of fall, due to scheduling reasons, and about ¾ of all conversations are about how it’s too cold to be outside.
Well, that’s just one of many reasons why most of us would fail at what’s being called the Buddy Bader Invitational, which is a ski/golf combination only for the warm-blooded and strong of heart.
Corbet's Couloir at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has a reputation as one of the most iconic ski trails in the world, so why not hit some golf balls into its snowy-white abyss?
Just a few weeks ago, the trail hosted the third-annual Buddy Bader Invitational, which consists of rocketing golf balls from the peaks of the celebrated double-black Corbet’s. Skier Tristan “Teton” Brown, who luckily captured some of the event, did make sure to specify that they’re not leaving the balls on the trail but that they go out and get them after the golfing is done.
"We’re not just blasting balls into the wilderness,” Brown said on Instagram. “It’s an open ski resort. We also have our names written on the balls so we can track them down after we hit them and people lower down to watch where the balls go."
So, if you’re looking to hit the slopes but don’t want to take a day off on the course, boy, do we have the solution for you.
