2025 CJ Cup Byron Nelson tee times, TV coverage, viewer's guide

Scottie Scheffler has five top-10s in 2025, including a fourth-place Masters finish, but the World No. 1 has yet to win an event this year. Could this be the week as the PGA Tour visits Dallas for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson? It’s certainly not impossible, especially with Scheffler as the only top-10 ranked pro in the TPC Craig Ranch field.

And yet, defending champ Taylor Pendrith and the rest of this relatively strong field will do whatever it takes to keep Scheffler out of the winner’s circle. By this time last year, Scheffler already had four victories, including one at Augusta National.

Pendrith won by one shot in 2024 for his first PGA Tour win over Ben Kohles after a poorly timed bogey by the latter. It was a Saturday 63 that gave Pendrith a 54-hole lead that he didn’t relinquish, and he can become the first golfer since K.H. Lee just three years ago to go back-to-back at the C.J. Cup.

Other contenders include Texans Jordan Spieth and Will Zalatoris, always-in-the-mix Sungjae Im and Christo Lamprecht, who was recently named the 2024 Byron Nelson Award recipient during his senior year at Georgia Tech.

This week's winner will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.782 million cut of the $9.9 million purse.

TV Schedule

Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday from 4-7 p.m. ET. On Saturday and Sunday, Golf Channel will air coverage from 1-3 p.m., with CBS taking over from 3-6 p.m.
