Charley Hull has cheeky response to fan asking her to light up another cigarette
It was quite a week for Charley Hull at the U.S. Women's Open. She even played a little golf.
First, a video went viral of the LPGA star signing autographs while smoking a cigarette. Then, a photo went viral of Nelly Korda showing Hull a photo of her smoking a cigarette. Not the greatest images for #TheKids to see, but a lot of people seemed to enjoy it. In fact, Hull's agent told her she gained over 70,000 followers on Instagram—and that probably had very little to do with her T-19 at Lancaster Country Club.
"It's been a bit of a wild week," Hull said after. "Pretty cool, and I wish the crowds were like this more often."
A video captured one particular interaction with those crowds as a fan said, "Come on, Charley, rip that thing," clearly referring a cigarette, as Hull walked off a tee box. And Charley looked back and gave a cheeky response: "Hope you're talking about my driver." Have a look and listen:

Like with Phil Mickelson getting gambling requests from fans, she should probably expect more of this in the future. And from the looks of it, she'll be ready.
