Bryson's Friday night included training with Kyle Berkshire and FaceTiming actor Chris Pratt

December 19, 2020

The last time we saw Bryson DeChambeau, he was being brought to his knees by Augusta National, which is the opposite of what was expected to happen. Naturally, the reigning U.S. Open champion has been grinding away in the lab ever since.

DeChambeau is even putting in hours late on Friday night, and he gave fans a glimpse of his process on Instagram Live. Joining him was World Long Drive champion Kyle Berkshire, as well as ... Chris Pratt?

About one minute into DeChambeau's livestream, the "Jurassic World" leading man called in and said that he was watching. DeChambeau put Pratt on FaceTime. If that seems weird, it should not. The two linked up last February at Riviera, where DeChambeau gave Pratt a quick lesson on the range ahead of the Celebrity Cup:

Clearly, it's become a budding friendship since. "I've been watching you guys just murder that ball," Pratt said on FaceTime. "I wish I was there, I'm so jealous." The full, one-hour and six-minute video can be viewed on DeChambeau's Instagram page

Luckily, for those who don't have 66 minutes to dedicate to this, some folks posted highlights on Twitter. Here's DeChambeau treating one swing like a max bench press rep and reaching 145 mph clubhead speed (he hit 146.2 mph on the following swing, by the way):

And here's Bryson holing a wild chip while wearing a onesie for no apparent reason:

Say what you want, but the guy never stops. Can't wait to see what 2021 has in store for him.
