Monday qualifier comes VERY close to making hole-in-one on par 4 at Congaree

The 1,882nd-ranked player in the world nearly did something Thursday that has only happened once in the history of the PGA Tour—ace a par 4.

On the 354-yard 15th hole at Congaree Golf Club, Broc Everett, like many others in the field, pulled driver to take advantage of the firm-and-fast conditions and try to put one on or around the green. Unlike many other players in the field, his tee shot nearly went in.

Just incredible stuff. And it's made all the more incredible by the fact that Everett Monday qualified for this week's Palmetto Championship down the road at Belfair, earning the third of four spots available with a five-under par round. The 2018 NCAA Division I individual champion from Augusta has missed the cut in each of the three tournaments he’s played on the PGA Tour, dating back to 2018.

After an opening-round two-under-par 70, Everett birdied his first two holes Friday morning to move into a tie for seventh place—taking advantage so far of this rare PGA Tour start.
