It was a frustrating Friday for some of the world's best golfers at the Open Championship. From Jon Rahm dropping a massive F-bomb to Tyrrell Hatton pretending to shoot the much-talked-about internal out of bounds on Royal Liverpool's 18th hole. But the best display may have come from Shane Lowry.
Late in his second round and upset about a poor approach shot, Lowry wrapped a club around his neck. And then snapped it. Check it out:
Don't try that at home, folks. Shane's not exactly Bo Jackson snapping a wooden bat over his helmet, but that's some serious strength right there. And that looks like it could hurt.
Not surprisingly, the Irishman won't be claiming a second claret jug this week. After an opening 72, Lowry struggled to a 77 in the second round to miss the cut. On the bright side, he won't need to worry about finding a replacement club for this weekend.
