Behold and marvel at these fan-designed NBA jersey concepts

July 19, 2017

Nike is taking over as the official apparel outfitter of the NBA next season, and the two entities officially released the Swoosh's vision for the Association on Tuesday afternoon. The reveal garnered a universal "eh," as the designs on display looked pretty similar to the current ensembles. (Although Nike won't be flaunting the ill-received jersey sleeves, so let's consider the move a win.)

For uniform enthusiasts whose thirst went unquenched, fear not. A New Jersey artist named Brian Begley used this announcement to exhibit his spin for the league's regalia, and his creations are a sight to behold. Begley's work is mostly a combination of existing and throwback motifs, with a bit of his own style sprinkled in.

Sadly, no cartoon caricatures of the Milwaukee buck or Detroit horse. Still, pretty sweet shirts.
