Anthony Kim to make his return at Firestone
Anthony Kim, who hasn't played since the Quail Hollow Championship in early May, will return next week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, he announced on Tuesday.
Kim, who had surgery to repair a torn ligament on his left thumb on May 5, announced his return on his Facebook page. "[I] will be back next week at the wgc...looking forward to bein back," he wrote.
He won the Shell Houston Open a month before the thumb injury became too troublesome to continue. He is determined to make the U.S. Ryder Cup team and is still fourth in points, despite his hiatus.
