Another reason to pull for Phil (and Rocco)

Golfsmith generated enough buzz with its Masters promotion in which the golf retailer offered to fully refund the purchase price of several select TaylorMade driver models if Sergio Garcia won at Augusta National that it is trying it again for the U.S. Open at Bethpage.

However unlike their choice of Garcia (who has had a spotty record at Augusta and most figure had little chance to win), Golfsmith is giving its customers a little bit better chance of walking away with the freebie this time, enlisting Rocco Mediate AND Phil Mickelson.

The promo is thus: Starting today and ending June 17, golfers who purchase one of three new Callaway drivers -- the Big Bertha Diablo, FT-9 or FT-iQ, will have the purchase price fully refunded if either Mediate or Mickelson wins at Bethpage, giving fans just one more reason to pull for two of golf's most-popular players at the Open.
