An odd news conference in hindsight

Greg Norman hosted a news conference to hype his Shark Shootout on Friday, and (perhaps not surprisingly) made no mention of his separation from wife Chris Evert, though Evert came up in a couple of questions.

The questions pertained to what kinds of sporting events they've enjoyed attending together. His answer:

"I've enjoyed going to the U.S. Open. That's been a great deal. I've been a big tennis nut for my whole life. So just getting to meet some of the players -- you meet them over a period of time anyway, but going to the event and meeting them back in the locker room is a pretty neat experience."

Later in the day, it was revealed that the couple had separated.
