Masters 2026: Three new things Amazon Prime Video is bringing to Masters coverage in 2026
Kohjiro Kinno
For many years, Masters coverage has been the domain of CBS and ESPN. In fact, CBS’ coverage has become so synonymous with the tournament that longtime broadcasters like Jim Nantz and Verne Lundquist have become Masters legends themselves. In 2026, however, Amazon Prime Video will join the Masters mix, bringing a host of new additions to the beloved broadcast. From data-driven feeds to a brand-new broadcast window for fans to enjoy, Amazon Prime Video’s coverage promises to be essential viewing for obsessive fans. We understand that change isn’t taken lightly at Augusta National, but after seeing what Amazon has planned for 2026, we think you’ll find them a welcome addition to the Masters family.
Extended Coverage
Augusta National
Everybody wants more Masters, right? For its inaugural Masters, Amazon will serve up exactly that with two extra hours of live coverage on both Thursday and Friday. Hosted by Terry Gannon within the cozy confines of Butler Cabin, the broadcast will focus on live play but will also feature interviews with current pros and special guests, including Jack Nicklaus on the 40th anniversary of his 1986 Masters triumph. Amazon’s extended coverage will run from 1-3 p.m. ET during the first and second rounds.
'Inside Amen Corner'
For years, the Amen Corner feed has been one of the Masters’ most popular streaming options, especially during the tournament’s early rounds. This year, Amazon is putting their own spin on the formula with ‘Inside Amen Corner,’ a new stats-focused look at Augusta National’s most iconic stretch.
“What we're really hoping to do is to use data analytic technology to tell stories and deliver insights in a deeper way to that signature three-hole stretch—to really get into the strategy of how to play certain shots there,” says Amazon’s Head of Global Live Sports Production, Jared Stacy. “The beauty of an alternative feed like this is we're not worried about keeping up with the action going on across the course because you have the main feed for that. This really allows us to dive in deep to these holes that everybody knows and loves so well.”

Stacy says he has watched every Masters since he was seven-years-old, vividly recalling Larry Mize’s incredible chip-in in 1987. Thus, he is approaching Amazon’s first year at Augusta National with respect while also hoping to offer something new.
“I think fans are going to see the presentation of these holes in a way they haven't before. We’re leveraging some deeper analytics and even shot some features with [legendary swing coach] Michael Breed. We thought a lot about the signature shots at Amen Corner and what fans at home should know about them. For instance, on the 13th hole, we'll analyze the slope of the fairway and how the ball is above the players’ feet using the Optimotion golf tech that we have in order to understand how the golfers are going to attack those shots.”
Stacy, who has helped to develop groundbreaking data-driven feeds for Thursday Night Football, NASCAR and more, will oversee production of ‘Inside Amen Corner,’ which will be hosted by Justin Kutcher, Geoff Ogilvy, John Wood and Smylie Kaufman. The stream will feature advanced stats and on-screen overlays focusing on player strategy, swing analysis, scoring zones and trace ball flights in real-time. The feed will also include never-before-seen camera angles, offering fan a fresh perspective of Amen Corner. 'Inside Amen Corner' will air from 10:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Thursday and Friday and 11:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Saturday and Sunday, offering more than 20 hours of live coverage across the tournament’s four days.
On-Demand Highlights

Amazon will also debut two new highlight options for viewers at the 2026 Masters. ‘Rapid Recap’ will offer a curated selection of highlights, while ‘Key Moments’ will allow viewers to select their own moments in order to catch up on what they missed or simply rewatch incredible shots. The ‘Key Moments’ highlight selection will be updated in real time and include a description of each shot and its relevant information.
