A 28 on the front for Song-Hee Kim

September 04, 2009

Is it now Song-Hee Kim's turn to deliver an LPGA victory for South Korea? Kim, a third-year member of the LPGA, shot a seven-under par 28 on the front nine at Priddis Greens Golf and Country Club in the second round of the CN Canadian Women's Open on Friday to get within a shot of leader Suzann Pettersen.

Kim, who birdied her first six holes and the ninth hole, is overdue to win, too. She's already finished in the top 10 on six occasions this year, finishing tied for third twice. Last year, she tied for second twice.

South Koreans have won six of the last 10 events on the LPGA.
