Bryson DeChambeau: The Story of the Bulk
On October 6, 2019, after the final round of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Bryson DeChambeau revealed he was going to change his body. At the time, no one really knew what that meant. Most people just shrugged it off as Bryson being, well, Bryson. The guy had the flat cap. He had the single-length irons. He stood kind of funny over his putts. That guy was going to put on weight? He was going to hit it a lot further? Yeah ... OK.
Well, things changed. He started off slowly with a few missed cuts … but then, after quarantine in 2020, the guy started lifting trophies. Important trophies. He’s proved to everyone that his changes weren’t just a gimmick. What could best be described as an experiment started to turn into a success. And, lucky for us, he offered a window into the process throughout the whole thing.
This is the story of Bryson's bulking up.
