This is important:
The golf swing is, in simplest terms, two turns.
➡️ One turn back.
⬅️ One turn through.
But there's a big mistake golfers often make along the way.
Often golfers get to the top of the backswing, then only think about turning on the way through. But turning too much, too soon is a classic recipe for swinging over-the-top, and hitting ugly slices.
The key is tilting your body away from the target as you turn through. And tilt is created by shifting your weight towards the target. All good golfers do both—they tilt while turning—and Golf Digest Top 50 coach Jeff Smith found that draw players tilt even more than they turn on the downswing.
So if you want to hit draws, remember: Tilt and turn.
