A Martin County sheriff’s spokesman said the 50-year-old Woods was taken into custody for possible DUI after a two-car accident in Jupiter Island in which Woods clipped the trailer of a work truck and his car flipped onto the driver’s side. Woods was able to crawl out of the car on the passenger side. After roadside tests, officers suspected that Woods was impaired and he was taken into custody, where Woods submitted to and passed an alcohol breathalyzer test. However, the spokesman said he declined to give a urine sample. Due to a Florida statute, his refusal led to a charge of DUI, property damage and refusal take the test. All of the charges are misdemeanors, the spokesman said. He said Woods will be held in custody for eight hours and would then be released after posting bail. Read the full story.
