After spending the mandatory eight hours in a Florida jail, Tiger Woods was released at around 11:15 p.m. ET on Friday night

after his arrest earlier in the day for suspicion of DUI following a car accident. Journalists on site reported that Woods left from the side exit of the Martin County Jail in Stuart, Fla., and he was photographed riding in the passenger seat of an SUV. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said earlier in the day that Woods could post bail eight hours after he was arrested following the 2 p.m. crash near Woods' home in Jupiter Island. The sheriff alleged that Woods was driving at a high rate of speed on a narrow, two-lane street when he clipped a trailer being towed by a truck. Woods' Range Rover rolled onto its driver side and skidded down the street. Woods was detained after sheriffs on the scene believed that he was impaired, and while he passed an alcohol breathalyzer test, Woods declined to provide a urine sample. He was then charged with DUI, damage of property, and for not giving the sample.
