Why We Like It
Moment of inertia sounds wonky, but it’s simple: “Replace heavy with light wherever you can. Then redistribute heavy to make the head deliver consistent speed for every impact.” LA Golf’s mallets get rid of “heavy” in the body, replacing it entirely with “light” (carbon composite, which is five times less dense than steel). This frees up room to redistribute “heavy” (super dense tungsten) at the tips of this pronged mallet. The result is ultra-high MOI, or stability on off-center hits so that your worst hits still roll close to your best hits.
Characteristics
- The carbon-composite body frees up mass for heavy tungsten to be placed in the perimeter for extra stability.
- The face insert features descending lofts from top to bottom (4 degrees to 1 degree) so that mis-hits high and low on the face launch like center hits for better roll.
- The standard shaft is LAGolf P-Series for less twisting, more stability and reduced vibration.
- Two models (Malibu, Malibu X), three hosel options (slant neck, face-balanced slant, plumber’s neck); head weight: 363 grams; lengths: 33-36 inches; loft: 1-4

Reviews
The sole makes it feel like it's hovering over the ground. No snag. Very impressive package. The putter is light, but the ball still has mass behind it when I hit it.
Jason, 47, Handicap: 0It's a kind of traditional shape, but fresh. The marbling softens the finish and makes it easy to look down on. Very stable and easy to swing on short putts.
Erika, 43, Handicap: 0The granite swirls make it an interesting design, but it's still got a classic look with the lines and the two rails.
