“Sedge Valley is a great new addition to the Sand Valley resort, a take on some of the old English Heathland courses while also challenging the notion that all courses must be championship length and par. Half-par holes abound here, as par is a mere suggestion, but there is plenty to keep players of all levels guessing at Sedge Valley. #18 is one of the best holes on the property!"

“The course has many risk-reward holes, especially for long hitters who can try to drive multiple par 4s but risk being in nasty spots if they miss. The course was more scenic and interesting from the back tees. There was a nice mix of long and short holes, and the par of 68 felt just right."

“unique golf course that doesn't play as short as the scorecard says. And not short on fun either."

“Shot options: Lots of risk/reward, and makes you think on nearly all approach shots; Hole by Hole comments:Hole #1: All about the approach shot; Hole #2: domed fairway; Hole #3: great hole, love the blind approach; Hole #4: challenging narrow green; Hole #5: wonderfully framed hole, can have so many great pin positions here; Hole #6: hard to avoid going for the green even though the risks are high; Hole #7: solid par 3; Hole #8: love this long par 3; Hole #9: great green; Hole #10: great approach shot; Hole #11: fun par 5; Hole #12: interesting par 4, great green; Hole #13: love the contours on this green; Hole #14: solid hole; Hole #15: pin position we had on far right is an absolutely wondering placement, everyone should play it to there; Hole #16: blind 2nd shot defines the hole; Hole #17: requires a very good approach shot; Hole #18: will take people a few times to figure out how to play this hole off the tee, green tucked into the hill is interesting; : Challenge: This course's challenge is approach shots (perhaps a bit about avoiding trouble off the tee), and I didn't find it that hard; Layout variety: A wide variety of shots with very individualistic holes; Aesthetics: A very pleasant experience walking through this course; Conditioning: Very firm conditions, wouldn't say the greens rolled true yet. I imagine with some maturing, my opinion will go up; Character: I can't directly compare to the English heathland courses this was supposed to mirror, since I haven't played any, but imagine is faithfully represents it. I do love the shorter course approach to this a lot. ; Fun: My wife and I both had a lot of fun on this course, we think most people would agree"

“Wonderful new course and a nice change of pace from the other courses on the property. Despite it's short yardage and less than 70 par, it never feels like your playing anything less than a traditional golf course. Beautiful use of contours that allow players to shape the ball on the ground."

“A step away from uniformity, this par 68 still packs a strategic punch with numerous half par holes that keep a golfer guessing."

“Sedge Valley is the newest course up at Sand Valley, and probably the most fun to play out of all. You'll leave the course immeditately wanting to play it again since it has such a fun factor. It's definitely a shorter walk so one you'll want to replay if you have an afternoon 18 available after your morning round, but though it looks shorter on the scorecard it still packs a punch."

“Dont let the short yardage fool you into thinking this is a push over short course. While the fairways are typically generous, placement matters, and many will score much higher than they think they should. Great piece of land and a very fun course."

“Sedge Valley has wide fairways allowing for multiple shot options and routes to the greens. There are risk reward choices on multiple holes and despite no water hazards golfers will encounter sloping fairways, blind shots, mounds, humps, traps and unique shaped and sloped greens to make birdies difficult. The routing is an enjoyable walk and players of all abilities should enjoy the course. The landscape and green contours make Sedge Valley a unique golfing experience."

“The Sedge Valley, Offers a unique round of golf on a natural landscape where the routing takes you on an exciting and interesting journey. The greens are very challenging even though the course may apple short in length it makes up for that with blind shots and tuff approaches."
