“Interesting sister course to the Championship course. The first seven holes play into the mountain and and homes that abut the property while holes 8-18 are scattered among the holes on the Championship course. The first seven seem a bit congested but I felt the short par 4 6th provided a solid risk reward opportunity. The last 11 seem a bit of an afterthought but the par 4 15th hole is a stern test- dogleg right with water up the right side and bunkers gaurding the left side of the fairway."

“The first 7 holes well well designed. Good views of the Potomac River. Good condition. Ultra private."

“Seemingly the best golf land was dedicated to the Championship course, so the Riverview course got the leftovers, which included a number of more inland holes to the south and around the driving range. Interestingly, these are some of the best holes…pleasant, secluded, and often interesting, with some good strategic properties. But most of the course (holes 7-16) are in flat and featureless marshland randomly dotted with flagsticks, cart paths, and bunkers. Like some links, it’s not obvious where the next hole begins or the direction it runs. Many holes go back-and-forth, with players often playing from wrong fairways. The general lack of play on this course speaks to where the club members choose to spend their time."
