“The creative use of fairway bunkering and dog legs made the tee ball the most interesting component of Cedar Point. The cross bunker on hole four was a particularly well placed challenging the golfer for a considerably shorter approach. A few well placed ponds and green side bunkers also made accurate approach shots a necessity. The green complexes were average. The club house sits on a beautiful piece of land overlooking the James River, however, I would have liked to have seen this piece of land be integrated into the layout rather than used for the clubhouse and pitch and putt course."

“Nice layout and in good shape now. Greens are always pretty smooth, but course doesn’t drain well, so it’s always soft after wet weather. Classic parkland golf."
