Overview
Coral Canyon has all the aesthetic and strategic beauty of a desert golf course without the penalizing bite that often characterizes southwestern tracks. This southern Utah layout is relatively forgiving off the tee, with wide fairways and thick rough that often stops balls from rolling into the surrounding rocky desert. Still, there are some forced carries into greens which require solid ball striking.

“The par 5s set the tone for this course with back-to-back opening holes and then finishing with three of the final five. A dozen hot air balloons in the distance and twenty foot cactuses protruding from bunkers enhance aesthetics as well as increasing shot options at holes 9-11 forcing the player to strategize and execute. Magnificent practice green wrapping around a giant cactus and surrounded by waterfalls give a glimpse of what the course maintenance once were. Both conditioning and overall visual excellence seem to still be a few years away from achieving that standard again, now under improved management."

“Fun Keith Foster design. Great shot options/values and risk reward. Spectacular setting in southwest Utah. Good bang for your buck."

“Truly one of Utah's hidden treasures and often forgot about with the many other options Southern Utah provides. Golf course was taken over in the mid 2000s by a company that really damaged the course and the reputation. 2 years ago a new management company took this course over and I was shocked at how quickly they have been able to turn it around. $3m has been put into this course in one year to help re-install and repair the irrigation systems and repair greens. New sand has been added to all the bunkers as well to further improve the experience of every golfer. The design is unique and offers 4 sets of tees to keep the game fair and challenging. Has a target feel that most desert courses offer, but wide fairways and forgiving rough. If you've never played this course add it to the schedule next time you're in the area, and if you haven't played it in the past 3-5 years make a return visit. You'll be happy with the changes as they have restored it to what it once was."

“Around the greens was easy and not that challenging. Did not think the course was in that great of shape but they told me that it was in the best shape it has ever been."

“Nice course located 10 minutes north of St George, right off I-15. Layout was good, but conditioning was a little questionable. I know this course was closed for some upgrades, so hopefully conditions have improved. Has some fun holes, a drivable par 4."

“My favorite layout in St. George. Fun holes, not too penal, good greens."

“There are some very cool holes on this Southern Utah course, but also some very awkward holes down in the arroyo area. Doesn't feel like conditioning matches the design intent."

“Challenging from the back tees. Condition of the course has varied over the last several years. Beautiful setting but can be windy."
