“Fun course built on historic farmland with many old stone boundary walls. Good variety among the hole design and a few very severe greens complexes. The last two holes are especially fun with number 18 playing as a driveable par 4 right across the bay. Course was in very good condition with lots of woods and nice scenery. Can be as challenging as you want depending on which tees you choose."

“I feel like Carnegie Abbey aspires to greatness, but unfortunately falls short. The start is awkward, the middle is solid and interesting climbing up and down a hill, and the end is entertaining although probably a love/hate proposition for many. The course seems to lean too heavily on its funky 18th, a short par four on the beach playing only 280 yards maximum, but it is a fun (and strategy-filled) hole in a spectacular location."

“Excellent variety of holes. Shotmaker's course. Lots of opportunity to gamble off the tee , but severe penalties if the shot is mishit."
