“Stone Creek, just south of Oregon City, OR near Portland is what locals call "the best golf value in Oregon". Designed by local resident Peter Jacobsen, the course winds through a vast sloping meadow on the front nine and the back travels through dense old growth forest with many elevation changes. That said, the course is a joy to walk throughout the year as drainage is exceptional during winter months. The course is maintained to very high standards and greens are some of the best in the Portland area during summer months. Holes are well bunkered and water hazards come into play on about half a dozen holes. Homes border a few of the front nine holes, but nowhere on the forested back nine. At about a $40 green fee, you will agree Stone Creek is a real bargain considering the quality of course design, maintenance standards and practice facilities. Food service is limited but adequate and there is a full bar on site for your post round sorrows or celebrations. This is a "golfer's golf course" providing a stern test you will enjoy while playing some golf in the Portland area."
