“A good course that should get better over time. For the price, go play."

“This has the most convoluted routing I have ever seen. You need a map just to find the next hole. I think the Nicklaus design team routed it blindfolded. The holes themselves are fun and the back nine has some doglegs that make the player think. The par threes are the strength of the course. Unfortunately, the conditioning is poor. The welcome is grand and lunch in the Tavern is great."

“An interesting course. A few really good holes with strategic interest, offset by a few holes that leave no option but a 5 or 6 iron layup (like the first hole). Difficult to navigate, and some very lengthy transitions between greens and the next tee. (Not a walker's course at all). As of this writing (7/2019), fairway conditions could be a little spotty, but the greens were in great shape, with some great collection areas also in great shape."

“Valley of the Eagles is a Nicklaus design in northern Ohio. The course is located in a valley and follows along a river throughout the course. You hit shots over, at, across, beside, and around this river. The par 3 holes are incredibly difficult from the back tees with one stretching to 276 yards. The natural beauty of the course makes it appealing to play. It does need some more time to grow in grass and get the greens quicker. THThere are some dramatic dogleg holes on the course that make position critical. The bar and restaurant is very good and the vision for the course is amazing."
