“An enjoyable public course in an area without much golf, this Brian Silva/Mark Mungeam design is a solid course that offers great value. The front 9 is on the flatter side and plays somewhat tight, with numerous water hazards coming into play on several holes. The back 9 is the superior side and plays over really fun rolling terrain. There are some memorable holes here, including the par 4 11th with its small, punchbowl green, reachable downhill par 4 14th, and boomerang par 5 18th that gives the golfer plenty of risk/reward options. The best hole, however, is likely the 16th, a sweeping dogleg left with a blind teeshot over bunkers and fantastically fun bumps in the fairway. I played in the Fall, where the foliage was simply gorgeous and the conditioning was quite good. In terms of public golf in New York state, the Hiawatha Landing is probably in the top 10 and would almost certainly get more recognition if it were closer to a major population center."

“Course provides more than adequate challenge for better players while being absolutely playable for all levels. Rolling back nine is more fun and finishes with a classic risk reward par five."
