“Laurel Links is the kind of place that sneaks up on you. Tucked away on the North Fork of Long Island, it flies well under the radar for the region and that's part of its charm. This is an everyday course in the best sense of the phrase: walkable, welcoming and genuinely pleasant to spend a couple of hours on. The terrain is largely flat, but the designer, Kelly Blake Morgan, has done a commendable job engineering variety into the lies, keeping you honest without manufacturing difficulty for its own sake. It plays honest golf. The course isn't without its quirks. Five par 4s bunched within a twenty-yard window of each other creates a sameness that's hard to shake — when hole after hole is asking the same question from nearly the same distance, the round loses some of its texture. A wider spread in that tier would go a long way toward sharpening the strategic variety. The 12th really stands with a lot of pinnable locations. The short par 3 is a standout hole on the property. It features a green that cascades down in three dramatic tiers, almost appearing to melt into the earth like a slow-moving river. The finish is equally memorable. The 18th delivers you back to a clubhouse that earns its place in the landscape. A Colonial Revival structure clad in natural cedar shingles, understated and historic, as if it's always been there. It's the kind of building that makes you want to linger. Laurel Links is a charming, well-kept secret on the North Fork and the locals are lucky to have it."

“Laurel Links is a great walk whether with a caddy or carrying your own/using a trolley. Beautiful links course with inviting fairways, though approach shots and greens areas are quite challenging. Playable for all levels, though your final score will surely be higher than normal. Dont fret that, just enjoy the beauty and the walk."
