Overview
Perhaps the most playable of the three courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, Pete Dye’s Snow Mountain offers generous landing areas and plenty of risk-reward challenges. Given the desert setting, wind will likely play a factor. The course finishes strong, offering views of Sheep Mountain on the par-3 16th, traditional Dye railroad-tie bunkers on the 17th, and a stern test with water down the entire left side on the 18th.

“Just peace and quiet as you navigate the Dye Snow course---some from the Dye Template book, but a good mix of holes and complexes. Not too tricked up like Dye tries to do sometimes."

“For serious golfers, Paiute should be the place to play in Vegas. Less glitz and flash than most of the other destinations, but the golf is much better and more the focus. I would recommend any of the three courses."

“Sun Mountain Course-Paiute Resort The Paiute resort has 3 courses, Snow Mountain, Sun Mountain and The Wolf, Located 30 mins northwest of the Las Vegas Strip, this Pete Dye course opened for play in 1995. It’s a well maintained desert course that not very difficult, but scenic and fun to play. The fairways are generous and the greens have subtle undulations. Water hazards come into play on seven holes. A few holes feature bunkers with railroad ties arranged in a starburst pattern."
