Overview
In 2001, Jay Morrish and David Druzisky designed DragonRidge Country Club, snaking through the McCullough Mountains that overlook the Las Vegas valley. The club’s entertaining routing meanders through undulating desert terrain where fairways and greens are protected by natural waste areas with dense vegetation. The accessible putting surfaces at DragonRidge are defended by a series of blind shots over rock outcroppings, as well as penal, tightly mown Bermudagrass collection areas just off the greens. DragonRidge is highlighted by the three-hole finishing stretch of the drivable par-4 16th, the difficult par-3 17th with the Vegas skyline in the backdrop and the reachable par-5 18th with a split fairway and narrow green.

“DragonRidge Country Club sits atop the mountains just southeast of the Las Vegas Strip, offering a layout defined by elevation changes and views of the Vegas valley. The routing moves through rugged desert terrain, using ridgelines, canyons, and plateaus to create a sequence of holes that are both engaging and memorable. The fairways are generous, but angles matter, well-positioned tee shots unlock the best approaches into greens shaped with subtle contours, steep fall-offs, and thoughtfully placed bunkering. Course conditions are consistently strong, with firm fairways encouraging creative ground options and true, responsive greens rewarding confident putting. DragonRidge shines in its risk-reward moments, particularly on its shorter par 4s and reachable par 5s, where aggressive lines can produce birdie looks but missing in the wrong spot quickly leads to bogey or worse. If you have the chance, I would recommend playing DragonRidge Country Club, I had a wonderful experience."

“Several unique holes, with some challenges. Some views of the city on several holes."

“Well-conditioned, well-designed course with some tough uphill par fours, and interesting drop par threes. Very nice people, but the many houses, while beautiful and amazing, encroach on the design at points."

“This course could be so good, but falls short of its promise. It is still a good test. For fun the clubhouse displays Liberace's piano."
