Overview
Baker Hill sits among the New Hampshire mountains and provides a classic New England golf experience for every golfer. The course offers a great blend of uphill and downhill shots—delivering plenty of variety throughout the course. Golfers must be prepared to work the ball both ways off the tee as Rees Jones provides an excellent mix of right to left and left to right holes. The greens feel tucked into the trees, forcing accuracy on the approach. The bunkers are some of the most difficult in the region, some are nearly six feet deep and all are lined with fescue. One of the most unique quirks is a call back to North Berwick, as a stone wall runs along 1, 4, 8-13, 16 & 18.

“Isolated private course in NH with nice elevation changes, great green complexes, excellent condition and not much play. Mostly second course for members. If you get a chance play here. One of the best courses in New England"

“Excellent mirroring design effect at holes 2&4 (up vs. down hill par 5s), 1+9 (dogleg left vs. right into well bunkered approach fade/draw respectively). Deep carved out, fescue lined bunkers throughout with green side scooping down more than 6 feet. Aesthetically astounding golf course in small town New Hampshire with butterfly garden (17), jagged exposed rocks, nature preserves and magnificent mountain views. Stone walls in view/play ala North Berwick at holes 1, 4, 8-13, 16 & 18."

“Too much elevation changes and too many blind shots. Outstanding firm, fast greens."

“A private course, but if your home pro calls for you it is possible but not guaranteed that you will get on. It’s a golfer’s course. Rees Jones created a good test of your game. Nice little clubhouse but don’t expect more than sandwiches. If you want lunch or dinner after you are better off going into New London."
