Clearwater Golf Club
Overview
Built on what was once farmland in Christchurch, Clearwater Golf Club was developed into a residential community and a golf course by John Darby, who designed a handful of courses in his native country (including No. 6 Jack’s Point). The course incorporates water on a number of holes, a bit reminiscent of Florida golf. Clearwater hosted the ISPS Handa NZ Women's Open for four years, won three times by New Zealand’s own Lydia Ko, who shot a course-record 61 in her 2015 triumph.
