Overview
Situated on the Upper Peninsula at the Island Resort & Casino, Sage Run is a rustic, prairie links-style layout with native grasses guarding many fairways. Many holes play up and around a prominent hill that the course is built on, creating both uphill and downhill shots.

“Sage Run could've been named Ridge Run. Large piece of property that you play along the ridge to start, in the valley, then up, along and over the other side into another valley and back up and over to finish. Low mow blue grass fairways are an interesting choice that is different from most upscale resort courses."

“Fun course that I'd recommend trying to play."

“A beast of a course that will probably discourage lesser golfers, but the scenery and maintenance is exceptional. There is a problem of "rocks" should you miss the fairway and the rough (a local rule allows rocks to be removed), but the course provides numerous "unique" holes with a variety of options that make it well worth seeking out."

“New course with lots of rocks especially hidden in grass around bunkers. Extremely hilly with some holes that looked liked they were fit in to get between holes. Pure golf, no housing or anyone near. Many really good holes and about 3-4 not very good."
