“Green Spring Valley Hunt Club is a historic club just Northwest of Baltimore that flies well-under the radar, perhaps how the membership wants it. The golf course features a very unusual routing with both the 1st and 18th as par threes near the clubhouse and the other 16 holes across the road playing back-and-forth over a valley. There is only one other par 3 on the course (5, a strong Redan) and a stretch of 9 straight par fours at one point. Tyler Rae's recent renovation did a great job with tree removal and expanding the greens and his bunker style is visually attractive. From the Back Tees, the course plays nearly 7000 yards but the biggest challenge is the greens, which are quick and feature lots of slope. I get the sense that this is a tough invite, but the newly rejuvenated course is worth a visit."

“unlike other courses in the area. beautiful meandering trip through the greenspring valley and the neighborhoods that emerged after the course was designed. Opening and closing par 3s make for a unique signature. 18 is a great short hole back to the clubhouse."
