Heritage Golf Club: La Réserve Golf Links

Just a few weeks before it hosted an event on the DP World Tour, La Réserve Golf Links—a seaside venue sitting right along the Indian Ocean—opened at Heritage Golf Club. The Peter Matkovich and Louis Oosthuizen design was designed atop a former sugarcane field with wide, rumpled fairways and pot bunkers, recalling some of the classic links courses of Europe. Matkovich and Oosthuizen maximized the aesthetics of the ocean and the backdrop of the Savannah Mountain range in the distance—and a number of infinity greens add a unique element to this newcomer sure to continue to attract golfers to the island of Mauritius.
