“Would be rated higher if in better condition. Greens and fairways are rock hard and greens are missing some grass. Many holes require layups. I have never hit so many mid-irons off par 4 tees. Would be fun in a scramble with many risk reward option holes. I just found playing my own ball, the play was always the lay-up because the reward did not warrant the risk."

“The course is incredibly firm. You can hit mid irons off tees that will roll thirty or more yards. Bunkers often set up in the middle of the fairway to force the player to layup or fit shots into fairly narrow corridors. The firm fairways in cross winds effectively limit some of the widths of fairways. Especially from any tee but the back tee, there are risk reward holes that could encourage longer hitters to hit tee shots towards greens. Native areas frame holes and serve as a significant hazard with potentially lost balls or hack out types of shots. Greens were also incredibly firm and not at all receptive. Full 100 yard wedges would roll out 30 feet for scratch golfers. Some holes are not set up to allow the shot to be played short, so there are holes that have no practical way to get to the pin. Greens were in poor condition with missing and damaged grass."

“Cramped and uninspired layout with minimal decision making required. Maintenance is an issue."

“Terradyne underwent a big bunker project in 2022 and the result makes the course a little more "user friendly". There are numerous forced caries off the tee and water (penalty areas) on eleven holes. Fairways are generally wide (a good thing when the Wichita wind blows at its usual 15-25 mph) and the greens are huge! Two double greens and several others that are 50 or more yards deep present a challenge for club selection. Shots into the wind and with a back hole location can mean 3 or 4 clubs difference on some holes."

“Not a lot of "links" here though they tout it as such."
