“What a treat this Langford and Liddy design in the middle of Indiana. It consisted of eight holes of Langford and 10 holes of Tim Liddy in the Langford style. It was a 9-hole course from 1924 to 1995 and then Liddy took away one hole to build a driving range and then did the other 10 holes. The Liddy holes were 3 thru 12 and Langford had 1 & 2 and 13 thru 18. All but one of the eight Langford holes were on great terrain – the course book described it as fairways like tumultuous ocean waves – perfectly written. The one flat hole the 14th at 321 yards had a severely pitched green from left to right. His two par threes were excellent. The second at 195 yards, where all you good see was the flag stick had a small green and then the uphill 17th at 151 yards you didn’t see the green surface either and the green was turtle shaped. Five of the Liddy holes were on the bland style and that had to do with the topography, but he designed some cool greens. His other five holes he had better land and thus the holes were better. I really liked what he did with the one water feature on the course that was between the 10th and 11th holes. The 10th at 432 yards had a decent landing area, but don’t pull it left and the 11th was a drivable short par 4 at 306 yards. Again, don’t pull it left – water was tighter to the fairway here than 10. The green was very deep and had some spots that were going to defend an eagle or a birdie putt."

“The 9 Langford & Moreau holes are worth the very reasonable green fee. If you're in western Indiana visiting Indiana State, Wabash, the state parks, etc., it's worth the trip just to see those holes."

“9 original Langford & Moreau holes are interesting and worth seeing. 8 of the 9 Liddy holes are "fine." Great course for the price and worth playing if you are in the area."

“Some interesting features with the original Langford Moreau holes of 1-2 and holes 13-18. Struggling w/ some conditioning along bunkers slopes & green surrounds in general.... a lot of weeds which is disappointing as some of the features are masked. Course would benefit from green expansion in spots and tree removal overall. Tim Liddy added holes 3-12 as well as turning 13 from a par 4 to a par 5. The Liddy holes lack character for the most part other than holes 10-12 and the green complex at hole 5, the land in general of holes 3-9 is pretty flat and uninspiring."

“Harrison Hills is a true hidden gem. While it might be off the beaten path, it is well worth the effort to visit, especially for students of golf architecture. The Langford holes are great examples of classic architecture, and Tim Liddy did a great job incorporating the new holes into the course."
