“The Club at Wynstone, a Jack Nicklaus design, is characterized by a challenging layout woven into a beautifully wooded and rolling natural landscape. It features a large amount of water hazards like and bunkers, demanding strategic shot-making to avoid bogies. The design aims to offer a challenging test for skilled players with well-maintained bentgrass playing surfaces ensuring a high-quality round."

“The Club at Wynstone was built as the centerpiece of a large housing development in the late 1980's. The golf course provides the residents of the neighborhood with a fine test of golf and plenty of challenge. The highlights of the course were the par 5 3rd hole, which reminded me of the par 5 11th at Muirfield Village with a creek that traversed the hole and multiple options on the 2nd shot - either the heroic shot to the green or a layup to the fairway left and short of the green. The 9th and 18th holes were both par 5's that brings the golfer back to the clubhouse with plenty of bunkering and water to traverse. Both holes offer the better player an opportunity to make birdie, but wayward drives and second shots can yield a bogie or worse. The par 4 16th hole reminded me of the 18th at Muirfield Village with a tree that guards the right side of the fairway on a longer par 4 that doglegs right. The 17th hole does not have any bunkers or water, but offers plenty of challenge in both a demanding tee shot that needs to be threaded between trees on both sides of the fairway and a demanding approach into a green that has a large false front and runs off in the back."

“Nicklaus Signature course which offers subtle elevation changes, long par 4’s, nice mix of yardages on the par 3’s. What comes into play more in the back 9, but many of the greens complexes are challenging to read . Definitely on the list to play again if the opportunity presented itself."
